Tent Mounts

So to start it off I have the grand Teton roof rack, and the PAK system bed rack. I have had the San hima tent on top with the factory clips which are garbage. So I went with these 1/2” brackets instead. What makes it a super easy install is keep your tent on the truck, take the old brackets off, and lift up the tent and put a 4x4x 6’ long board under the back of the tent as well as the front on top of the roof rack. Plenty of room to work without having someone hold it the entire time or take it off the roof. When it comes to mounting the brackets, shove 1 TNUT in the groove and just mess with it to get it to where the entire thread is in the middle of the opening on the cross bar so you can make a bolt up. Then start with the middle bolt and you can slide the clip left and right to make up your additional t nuts for each one. Leave everything loose until you drop your bolts through to connect your tent and the last thing you will do is tighten everything. This product is 100% legit just like everything else Sherpa makes. The only thing I am still hesitant on is the way the tent is locked in place. It can’t move left and right because of the brackets but front to back it can move if the hardware comes loose. So far I’ve had no issues with it even with using threadlock blue just to be safe. Highly recommend this product to every rooftop tent user!

Excellent quality, shipped very quickly. Having the tall or short options for the tent mounts is great for dialing as low a profile as possible.

Great material

These mounts are great. I was hesitant to use the ones that came with the tent (strap style directly on crossbars) and went with the 1" riser. Super solid attachment and easy to install with great hardware. Great addition!
