Mounting Feet

The material is excellent, and the finish looks great. However, the washers were miscounted—there were too many smaller washers and not enough large ones. It wasn’t a big issue, though, as I picked up what was needed from Home Depot. The installation process is very straightforward. That said, I wish there were a recommended spacing for the mounts. While the rear mount is fixed with a slot in the sidebar, the front one is adjustable. I understand this depends on application and weight distribution requirements, so it’s not a major concern.

Just what I needed! I wanted to replace the factory roof with something better and stronger. I used these brackets with a couple of aluminum cross bars and I was able to rig up a custom configuration with a couple 2x4’s to mount two canoes for a camping trip. At the same time I wanted something I could add to and build out later on down the road. These have worked out perfect. The canoes mounted up much more solid than with the factory roof rack. I drove 5 hours each way to our destination and the cones held solid the whole time. Thank you Sherpa!

Purchased two sets, one for our 4Runner and one for our Sequoia. These made building my own rack a simple process. The brackets are angled to follow the contour of the roof while keeping the cross bars level to the ground. Rubber mounting spacers included to help reduce vibration and all mounting hardware was included. Would highly recommend to anywho trying to build their own rack with the extruded aluminum style cross bars.

I ordered these and had the product in just short of two weeks during the busy holiday season. Kudos! I am building my own rack and wanted feet that were tried and tested and would hold up to a lot of use. These are extremely high quality, thick, and appear to be laser cut for the letter markings and bolt holes. High quality stainless hardware was included, an easy savings of around $15-$20. Everything mounted up tight to the existing crossbar plates and pulled downward toward the roof with a satisfying tightness and alignment when securing the included hardware. Very impressed.

I bought this to replace my FJ factory rack so I can put a hard shell Roof Top Tent on it to achieve the lowest height for my garage. The installation was super easy via the video Sherpa puts on youtube and the product turned out great. Three sets of brackets need to transform a quite aggressive FJ roof line spline profile into a flat plane by bending the metal into brackets was not that easy, well designed! I purchased the 60" cross bar so I can also mount a 270 awning on the top side of the rack. Great product and great customer service!
